Dwarka makes an excellent base for a holiday of sightseeing, pilgrimage, beach activities and even watching birds and marine life. From Dwarka, head for the beaches of Shivrajpur just 15 minutes north of the Rukmani temple. This long, pristine beach stretches near the shivrajpur village, between a lighthouse and a rocky shoreline. It is ideal for a long walk. Other must visit coastal sites near Dwarka are Okha Madhi for its fine sands and Poshitara for its coral reefs and marine life. The Charakhla salt pans near Mithapur attract thousands of flamingoes, hundreds of pelicans, flocks of painted storks and a variety of other birds. From Okha, you can take the ferry to the island of Bet Dwarka which has temples, fine beaches and a profusion of marine life.
Gomati kund is one of the important holy spots by the Gomti river bank because; this was the place where Durvasa was served by the lord himself. Gomati kund is not only the place of religious importance, but people also come here to take a look at the merger of this river with the Arabian Sea. The belief is that if you visit this place once, your sins will get washed away. And it is believed that if you go to Dwarka, you should certainly visit this place and take a bath in the river.
Beyt Dwarka is known as important land mark in Dwarka, because there is a belief that Lord Krishna with his family resided here and ruled from here. Mythology says that Lord Vishnu killed the demon Shankhasura here and the other nickname of this place is Shankhoddar. This is one of the major Dwarka tourist attractions. There are 7 ponds, which are jointly called the “Rukmini Hrid”. This place is believed to destroy all the sins and grant salvation. It is also said that by taking a dip at Rukmini Hrid, a man becomes powerful and is untied from the birth and death cycle.
Gita Mandir was built by business tycoons that are the Birlas, in 1970. This spectacular and beautiful shrine lies in the western ghats of Dwarka. Rukshamanee mandir is another Shrine built in the 12th centaury with small structure, which is dedicated to Devi Rukmini, the beloved consort of Lord Krishna. The temple is a masterwork by itself with admirable carvings and artistic skills. Rich paintings of Rukmini, with her husband are painted on the walls of the Temple.
Nageshvara is one of the legendary temples mentioned in the Shiva Purana and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. It is located in Dwarka, Gujarat, India.
The Sudarshan Setu, formerly known as Okha–Beyt Dwarka Signature Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge in India, connecting the Beyt Dwarka island in the Gulf of Kutch and Okha. The total length of the bridge is 2,320 metres (7,612 ft). It was inaugurated on 25 February 2024.

Though there are no air port facility in Dwarka but the nearest Airport is at Jamnagar is about 45 kms Indian Airlines & other private airlines fly to and from the city, connecting it to most important cities of India.
